CCVS provides large and small animal veterinary services. We strive to provide progressive and professional veterinary care with a high level of clinical excellence. It is our goal to maximize animal health and well being while also improving animal productivity and profitability.

Emergency Services

Large Animal Emergency Service:

If you have a large animal emergency outside regular business hours call our emergency cell phone to reach the doctor on call at (417) 988-9934. If you don't get an answer we are likely busy on another emergency. Please leave a message indicating your emergency and your call will be returned as soon as possible. After hours emergency fees do apply.

 

Small Animal Emergency Service:

Small animal emergencies are referred to Emergency Veterinary Clinic

Large Animal

Darren Loula DVM

Dr. Darren Loula is originally from Ozark, MO. He attended the University of Missouri - Columbia where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Loula spent 2 1/2 years as a mixed animal practitioner in Fair Grove, MO before establishing CCVS in 2010. Dr. Loula practices large animal medicine and enjoys working on cattle, horses and small ruminants. His specific interests include bovine artificial insemination and embryo transfer, as well as equine dentistry. He has personal experience raising commercial beef cattle and boer goats. In his spare time Dr. Loula prioritizes time spent with his wife and two children. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Hunter Wallace DVM

Dr. Hunter Wallace was born and raised in Bolivar, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri, where he majored in Animal Science for two years before starting Veterinary School. He graduated from the MU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and started working at Christian County Veterinary Service soon after.

Dr. Wallace is passionate about many aspects of veterinary medicine, including surgery and reproduction. His hobbies include spending time outdoors, exercising, traveling, and rooting on the Kansas City Chiefs. He has been married to his wife, Abby,  since 2019 and together they have one son, Stetson, and two dogs, Hank and Remi.

Logan Parker DVM

Dr. Logan Parker is from Aurora, MO. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Northwest Missouri State University and his DVM from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. He practiced for one year in northern Missouri prior to hiring on at Christian County Veterinary Service.

Dr. Parker grew up on a cow-calf operation and is passionate about practicing large animal medicine. Besides spending time with his significant other, his dog and his family, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching football.

Kendelle Puga DVM-MPH

Dr. Kendelle Puga is from Nampa, ID. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Idaho and

her DVM-MPH from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She practiced for one year in northern Missouri prior to hiring on at Christian County Veterinary Service.

Dr. Puga has interests in large animal medicine and surgery, as well as some routine small animal medicine and surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys playing fetch with her dog, baking, and piecing together puzzles.

Katie Loula DVM

Dr. Katie Loula is originally form St. Louis, but has now come to love the Southwest Missouri area. She graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Loula worked at a few clinics in the area before teaming up with her husband to form Christian County Veterinary Service. She enjoys cooking and fishing, loves cavaliers and spending time with her family.

Cherie Gregory DVM

Dr. Cherie Gregory was born and raised outside of a small town in south central Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 1996. Dr. Gregory enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. She enjoys spending time with her Husband and grandkids, family and friends.  She also enjoys her vegetable and flower garden, Bible studies, exercising and spending time with her horse and dogs. She likes to spend time at the lake and traveling when she can.

Companion Animal

Julie Clonts DVM

Dr. Julie Clonts joined the Christian County Veterinary Service team in November 2018. She is originally from southwest Missouri and grew up on her family's farm near Hurley, MO. She graduated from Drury College in Springfield, MO with a double major in biology and chemistry in 1997. She attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, MO where she received her DVM degree in 2001. Upon graduation,  she initially worked as a mixed animal practitioner, but has been working as a companion animal veterinarian for the last 15 years. She lives on a small farm near Sparta with her husband, children, dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. She is also involved with children's ministry at her church and volunteers as a club and project leader for a local 4-H group.
